I updated the windows, next moment, the screen canont be rotated... Touch screen doesn't work.... Power button, volume button, absolutely nothing is working anymore.

I can still use it by attaching a keyboard.

However, regardless how i look or check, the update installed CHANGED my pc from a table to a tower pc. I'm saying this because everything related to Table PC is not working, like:

camera

microphone

sound (says no speaker attacked...)

Automatic screen rotation (even the icon/options) are not there anymore (not grayed out, they are not there, gone)

Touch screen doesn't work.

Any and all buttons don't work either.

SD card is not recognized in any way or form

It's not a hardware issues.

When tables is on, the Powe button doesn't work

when tables is turned turned offon, If i press and hold the power button, the tables turns on

Whatever windows update i just installed changed my tablet PC to a Tower PC (in settings - > table - > it says: this device does not have touch capabilities

Troubleshoot DOES NOTHING

I reset the Table (settings, recovery - > reset this PC) and choose "keep my files". No change... I waited ~4 hours... But no change.

Before I will chose "remove everything", does anyone know of a solution?

Solved! or fixed! or whatever! I was able to absorb the extra space in a 3-step process:

1. resize the System Reserved partition to use the space after it
2. reboot
3. stretch the M: data partition to absorb the space after it using the EXTEND -- not RESIZE -- command

System rebooted and working normally. THX all.

 

Windows Update keeps failing!

Hi,

I had once a similar issue like yours, i.e. not able to update Windows 7. What I did to solve the problems is:

- go to control panel, then to "Troubleshouting" > "System and Security" > "Fix problems with Windows update" > click "Advanced" > choose "Apply repairs automatically".

And Windows will start detecting the issues and will repair "Windows update components". The problems should be fixed now, close the program, restart the PC, and see if the mentioned steps have fixed the problems you mentioned.
