SOLVED: ... plethora of issues with 64-bit TP bootable-USB

Okay so I'm running the OS/build my profile says I'm running.

I installed it fine on my 32-bit laptop.

Trying to get the 64-bit version onto another desktop computer. Not happening.

Trying to make the bootable USB of a 64-bit OS in 32-bit TP gives the famous bootsect issue we've seen around the forums a bit. Going through the command line seemed to get me a little further than the Win7 USB/DVD download tool did, especially since I learnt that from Win8 onward we have native image-mounting (I skipped from 7 to TP personally). Buuut... I get the issue then that I've included a screenshot of. What am I doing wrong?

I have a theory of a solution: The 64-bit system I want to dual-boot it on as well is running Win8.1 --- Is there any reason I can't put the ISO on there, mount it, then do an advanced startup and boot the mounted image? Does windows release the mounted drives when you reset the computer?

    edit.
I was able to avoid this issue altogether by burning the ISO to a DVD, changing the BIOS on the Windows8 machine to check for DVDs first, then installed it to unallocated space that way. The machine is now running Windows 8.1 and WindowsTP in dual-boot.

    :)

  2. Query about creating recovery media on USB 3.0

    Good day!!!

1.Can I as a bootable USB drive (if I install Windows 10 Pro 64 bit) to use a USB flash drive USB 3.0 and have a quick installation Windows 10 Pro 64 bit thanks to USB 3.0 standard, compared with flash USB 2.0?

    2. Can I still create a recovery disk to use a USB flash drive USB 3.0?

    3. Which is better to choose the parameters of the stick to use it as a bootable USB drive Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with the USB 3.0 standard write speed of 75 Mb / s or 120Mb / s read speed of 12 Mb / s or 25 Mb / s? How can I feel it?

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  3. executing Media Creation Toolx64 prompts message: This app can't run on your PC

    Hi Giridhar,

Woot! Finally got Windows 10 64-bit installed on my computer; thank you so much for providing me the link to directly downloading the ISO- using search engines to find "direct download Windows 10 ISO 64 bit" was a waste of time; I kept getting results for
    the Media Creation Tool.

And for those who are trying the same thing- from existing 32-bit OS, creating a bootable USB for 64-bit Windows 10 OS-, should there be a prompt about bootsect.exe preventing the Windows 10 64-bit OS setup, go to this thread posted on Windows Community
    (it worked for me):

where to find dowload for bootsect.exe

And if you still can't run the setup from your bootable USB containing the 64-bit OS while on a 32-bit OS, restart your computer, access your Boot menu, and select your bootable USB drive to boot your computer from.

    Again, thanks a bunch Giridhar.

You do not need the bootsect.exe command and I would format the drive as FAT32.
