Windows 10: Solved. Preview Problems "Sketchup 2017 no longer working in Windows 10"

The thread quoted above is locked, but I had this problem and wish to add:I opened Graphics Properties right-click on desktopUp pops the Intel HD Graphics Control PanelSelected 3DDisabled Application Optimal ModeNow I have Thumbnails and Preview.Hope this helps someone. Now if I could only get thumbs and preview to work for PDF files. LOL

Sketchup 2017 no longer working in Windows 10

I have the same exact problem. It happened as soon as the most recent Windows Update was completed. For all practical purposes SketchUp Pro 2017 no longer works at all.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and sympathy with my problem. Here is the latest progress. In frustration I uninstalled Sketchup 2017 and after a few days I installed Sketchup 2016 but this time 32 bit version and hey presto, it worked okay. My computer
is 64 bit by the way and so is Windows 10. Not wanting to give up on Sketchup 2017 I downloaded it and installed it again but with the same results; it just wouldn't select anything when I loaded the program.I would click on something and have to wait 15
to 20 seconds for it to take effect. But now here is the mystery, I still left 2017 on the computer but used the 32 bit 2016 version which runs perfectly as it should but yesterday I thought I would give Sketchup 2017 another try and see if I might be able
to change a setting or something but for some unknown reason, it worked just fine and it is still working fine today so I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping that it keeps working okay.

I have no explanation why it has started to work properly again I didn't change anything, it just started behaving properly. Maybe Microsoft have done something to fix the problem their update caused.

Thanks again guys I just hope it stays the way it is working at them moment.

 

Sketchup 2017 no longer working in Windows 10

I have Sketchup 2017 installed on my computer and it worked fine until recently and now has problems that I believe are due to a windows update as many other users are having the same problem. The program has slowed almost to a stop and I have to wait for
a long time for Sketchup to respond to the mouse to select an item in Sketchup. I have run the computer in safe mode and i get a message telling me that Sketchup is no compatible with Windows 10 which seems strange to me considering it worked fine until recently.
The trouble shooter also states that my hardware accelleration has been turned off which makes no sense to me. The latest drivers are installed for my graphic card but as I said lot of people are having this problem since recent update for Windows 10

Please, is there any way this can be rectified. How can I uninstall recent updates. from my computer and hope that it will return to its state where it coped with Sketchup with no problems whatsoever.

I have reinstalled the program several times and no change in the performance, Sketchup now totally sucks.
