    Hello there,

I got a very strange problem with the font size of my windows. It is set to 150% scaling and worked okayish (besides blurry native warning message boxes and apps not supporting scaling). Strangely after a Diskcheck that was suggested by windows at the startup, now my font size is very wrong. Here is how it looks right now:

    • The font for the URL bar and links is way smaller than normal
    • The text for items on the desktop or the explorer are too small (icons and padding is the correct size)
    • The popup I zoomed in on tells it's own story, there is a lot wrong there.

All in all, I have the feeling that one specific font tag (something like label) has the wrong setting. Does anyone have an idea, how this could have happened or how I can fix it?

    Information about the computer:

    Windows 10 Pro

    Version 1803

    OS Build 17134.191

Using an LG 3840x2160 display connected to a Radeon 9700 Series through displayport 1.2

Just so you don't get confused. This setup was working fine for a few months, got the problem today.

Tried installing windows updates, updating graphics drivers, restarting the computer, unplugging the display, changing the scaling settings.

    :)

    Increase DPI and font size

    Hi,

I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro and the issue is still there.

I can change the font sizes using the steps you posted above, however the changes are not persistent. Once I restart, the DPI setting is still at 150%, the font sizes on the other hand are back at 9pt/non-bold. It is quite annoying to have someone else set
the font sizes and font style for me every time I reboot the computer (I avoid rebooting as much as possible, but many updates require a reboot, so I still have to do it some times).

I think the issue is with changing both, DPI and font sizes. Setting one of these settings to non-default values works as expected, changing both however does not.

    Best,

    David

    Increase DPI and font size

    Hi,

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

I'm visually impaired and need to increase the DPI (to 150%) and increase the text sizes to 12pt as well as making the text bold (under
Change only the text size). However, the font settings are not persistent. When I reboot the computer, the DPI setting stays in place, while the text size and boldness is back to the default (9 and non-bold). This is very annoying and I might have
to switch back to Windows 7 if this issue can't be solved, as the computer is unusable for me without bold fonts and increased DPI.

Maybe there is a way of making these changes persistent?

    Thanks for your help,

    David

[Solved] Windows 10 4K High DPI broken font size

Unable to Change Font/Icon size from Setting app in Windows 10

    Old title: Change Font/Icon size

Windows 10 takes care of this issue by supporting per-display DPI scaling to address. By default, Windows 8.1 will choose the optimum DPI scaling value for each display based on the value
chosen for overall scaling in the control panel.

You can change Modern UI text size by following the steps provided below.

    • Press Windows key
    • Click on Settings.
    • Click on System.
    • Click on Display.
    • Now change the font size according to your choice.

When I attempt to follow these directions, the slider bar to make the font larger is at the far left. I can drag it to the right but as soon as I drop it, it bounces back to the left and therefore does NOT change the font size.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
