Windows 10: (Solved) Windows 10 update to 1903 failed in 2nd boot phase with error during boot...

I'm running an recently updated (this morning) Windows 10 version1809. After failing to update to version 1903 from Update and Security and resetting to 1809,

at this site https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

I tried "Update now"

Fails again. At the blue screen while it's collecting data I see "page fault in non paged area"

After reboot into recovered Windows 10 version 1809 I see a message giving me the following error code and information:

Oxc1900101 - 0x40017
failed in 2nd boot phase with error during boot operation.

From that same site I downloaded an ISO file and mounted it. As suggested elsewhere I disconnected from the Internet. Ran setup as an administrator. Exact same result with exactly those error codes.

Windows update fail at BOOT phase

Been trying to update Windows Insider Pro build 17134 for about 2 months,

Been onto MS support numerous times, last case 1440555047, each time I try to update Windows update downloads and installs to the point where it restarts, then get black screen with STATIC windows logo, no loading arrows or dots, the only step then is to
hard boot at which it eventually reverts to build 17134.

From online install Update history gives Error 0xC1900101

From ISO-usb install gives Error 0xC1900101-0x20017

Installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation.

Searching forums revealed similar errors on a specific chip about 3 years ago, but a number of people are having similar update freezing problems on Feed Back Hub, but I have seen no suggested solutions.

Computer is old Acer5610Z (32 bit) originally Vista OS

Any suggestions for solution would be most welcome.

 

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.
