Windows 10: SOLVED-Windows10 to 11 upgrade fail during installation

I was trying to upgrade my windows 10 to 11 for a few days without much luck. The update was telling me that my laptop was suitable for a W11 upgrade however every time I tried, I would get an error half way into installation, saying that the "installation failed" followed by code. So I sent my feedback then searched community forums and no suggestion seemed to work, until I came across a post in Windows 8.1 upgrade to W10 when someone has suggested to disable any services running under MSCONFIG that had to do with SQL and that did the trick and now I have W11 running nice and smooth.1-Type 'm

Windows10 Installation fail

We understand your concern as you are having difficulties in upgrading the PC to Windows 10.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the make and model of the PC?
  
• What is the Windows 7 version and service pack currently installed on the PC?
  
• Which is the installation stage, at which the process fails?
  
• How are you upgrading to Windows 10? (through Windows Updates or using installation media)
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform a Software and Hardware clean boot.
Put the PC in software clean boot, refer the article

How to perform a clean boot in Windows. A ‘clean boot’ starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

Note: After you finish troubleshooting, follow the section
Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to reset the computer to start normally.

Steps to perform hardware clean boot.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for
   Run.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type devmgmt.msc and hit
   Enter.
   
3. Now expand the Display adapters,
   Printers, Sound, video and game controllers.
   
4. Now right click on the drivers inside the section and click on
   Disable.
   
5. If asked for restart click on restart later and disable all the drivers.
   
6. Close the device manager window and then restart the PC.
   

Once the above steps are completed, then try upgrading the system by using

Windows 10 installation media.

Windows Installation Failed

As @dalchina suggested, this kind of error can be solved by running an in place upgrade. I faced the same error a few months ago. I describe the step my step fix in this post

 

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!
