Windows 10: Some Applications/games result in the 0xc000007b error from missing .dll files

This is specifically happening to the Epic Games Launcher application, but the issue originates from Windows. After using Dependency Walker, I have found out that most if not all of the .dlls are originating from Windows mostly based on the names of the .dll files. What triggered this issue I think is that I was attempting to fix a missing .dll issue by installing some from tutorials on YouTube and putting them in SysWOW as well as System 32. This resulted in the Epic Games Launcher having the 0xc000007b issue. However, with all of the scans as well as the clean re-install in-place upgrad

What happens when you move all those DLLs? Move those DLL files to a folder on the C: drive (e.g, C:\DLLs) and launch the two games. Note the error messages and post them here. 0xc000007b error when launching Rising Thunder game

The game appears to be currently in a pre-launch condition. You may have discovered a bug that should be reported to the developers under the testing agreement you have with them. It appears this game is now public alpha.

You should report the problem on the Rising Thunder Bugs forum.

Further to your comments that this error appears with multiple programs.

Various forums suggest an array of potential solutions. I'll summarise them here for you.

• Run chkdsk on your primary drive. Run the command prompt as administrator and enter chkdsk there. Source
  
• Run the faulting program as administrator.
  
• Run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
  
• Reinstall the C++ redistributables (I know you said you had done this but you might have missed one). Source
  

Some sites suggest downloading DLL files from weird sites, I wouldn't recommend that at all.

This might occur when some of the DLL file is missing from the application.

I suggest you to Uninstall the game and try installing it again and check if it helps.
