Windows 10: Some apps are missing the window-control icons upper right

Some of my apps don't have the upper right button for minimizing the window, making the window larger and smaller, and closing the window. Some apps e.g., Chrome, Opera, Edge Chromium, IE, Spotify have the buttons, while others e.g., Firefox, Edge Legacy, Mail, Microsoft Store, Microsoft Mahjong, Microsoft Solitaire, Logos [third-party], PennyDell Crosswords, YouVersion, The Bible, Libby don't have the buttons. What's wrong, and how do I fix it?

Windows Apps name and controls upper right missing

When I open a windows app that is installed via windows 10, the name of the window is missing along with the icons for minimise, maximise and the X to close the window on the upper right of the window. However, these do appear on all windows for programs
installed but not for any apps.

I suggest you to check if the following steps helps to resolve the issue.

• Right click on the Windows key and Go to control panel.
• On the upper right corner change the view by to small icon.
• Click on mouse.
• Then click on ‘wheel’ tab.
• Set the values for horizontal and vertical scrolling.

App Icons Missing

Corrupted applications are the possible causes why your program icons are missing after an update. To isolate your issue, we'd like to clarify a few things:

• When you hover your mouse over your taskbar or Start menu, are you seeing the icons for your apps?
• Have you tried searching for a specific app and check if it will appear on the search results?
