Windows 10: Some apps scale are wrong

Hi, after a system reboot, some of my applications had a weird scale applied to them, like if it was 150% instead of 100%. (see the attached images) I've tried uninstalling my drivers and changing my resolution and scale. it's almost like the scale was stuck 50% higher than the selected one.



My config is :

r9 3900x

64gb ram

gtx 1080

custom scaling documents for printing in windows 10.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

• How you trying to scale the documents?
• Which application you are using for scaling the documents.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

1. Press control key + p.

2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

3. Click apply.

4. Now click on print.

Please try the above suggestions and let us know the status of the issue.

 

Windows 10 Creator's update - Every time I undock, scaling goes to 150%

We appreciate that you have checked your drivers and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since the issue is still the same, this can be related to the new customer scaling settings that came with the Creator's Update. Can you follow the steps below
so we can check it for you:

• Click on Start then Settings.
• Choose System then Display.
• Under Display, select Custom scaling and set it to 100%.

Windows 10 Per-App Scaling?

As of this moment, the answer is plain and simple - NO.

It is understandable to implement this feature is a bit tricky, but it's a long time since Windows 10 Beta and the launch. The following is credited to be a direct quote from Microsoft developers over the scaling issue sourced from here.

Alright, now we've seen the older help page, let's see Windows 10 version of fixing the scaling issues on their help page. I really want to quote the entire page here, it's just that hilarious, but I'll let you construe the entirety of it. I'll just quote Solution 2:

Unsurprisingly, all these steps ever achieve is to Disable Display Scaling On High DPI. The same which was mentioned earlier in the windows 7 solution.

So, it is now clear that there is no possibility to change scaling per application, unless it's developer implements it as a DPI-aware desktop or win32 application.

Since we have no official confirmation, it is not clear if this feature will be implemented within Windows in the foreseeable future.
