Windows 10: Some browser software Steamworks and Xenforo is not working properly. Clearing...

Last week, my wishlist on Steam which uses Steamworks software was unable to be manually sorted. Games would just instantly go back to their original location # even after dragging them to another # or manually typing a new # for them. Steam Support had various steps of troubleshooting that did not help. This included clearing cache/cookies in both Steam and my browsers and disabling my anti-virus and firewall. I later noticed that the forums for devilmaycry.org and residentevil.org are also bugged for me and I am unable to post or send messages. These forums use Xenforo software. Othe

EDGE Microsoft needs a browser that works

That's what I don't get. Edge came bundled with 10 - it was MS's big chance to get more people on their browser - and it's still just with basic problems that no other browser has. Here's another one:

At least IE worked - now people are probably moving to Chrome and Firefox.. I am - I'm not interested in IE at all.

 

Clear Pagefile on Shutdown


I've been looking into clearing the pagefile, and I found the following steps at a somewhat dated webpage:

1. In the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
2. Set ClearPageFileAtShutdown to the REG_DWORD value of 1.
3. Restart Windows.

I'm just wondering whether those steps are still valid, and, if so, does clearing the pagefile work as advertised?

 

xenforo vs vbulletin

I noticed techpowerup has also swtiched to xenforo from vbulletin..i dont know since when but i m also thinking to switch , so asking ur opinion here.

Admin & Moderators, please suggest and provide ur feedback for xenforo...is it comparable or better than vbulletin? and can we get free plugins like in vbulletin?

Because many good developers left vbulletin , many of my purchased plugin are even of waste now as they are not supported..

please have a look at my forum and suggest me if i shd update to vb 5 or swtich to xenforo or stick to vb 4..
