Windows 10: some buttons that can slide up wont work HUGE PROBLEM

im trying to press sound icon or wifi icon and search box, but they wont work but i can get on wifi in the sign in section.Also i can get on volume in settings but... it's a problem to me

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

Windows button, search or notifcation buttons wont work after Windows critical update 1-8-18?

After the update this past Monday my windows button does nothing, Cortana does nothing and my notifications button also does nothing...I hate to reset my computer due to losing all of my programs. Huge long list provided when i started to reset it.

I did the command prompt sfc /scannow - did not work

I did the command prompt : powershell - did not work.

I am running Windows 10

Any other suggestions?

 

PC shut down, wont turn back on

The fan twitch is it powering up and then the psu is noteing a short and cutting out hence why it wont do it again straight after until it's reset, something is blown or shorted out so you need to do as someone suggested and split the pc out then, on a table build the minimum up as he said and step by step see what's happening.
