    Some GUI problems after Cumulative Update (KB3097617)


    I have some issues after installing Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3097617)

    Black squires (windows) are randomly appearing (and disappearing) on the screen.

    "Invalid MS-DOS function" while trying to delete/uninstall files

    Alan - the "Invalid MS-DOS funtion" problem occurred immediately after I installed Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based system
    KB3097617. After I uninstalled the update and reverted to the previous configuration the problem went away and I could move and delete files as normal. KB3097617 was automatically re-installed (by Windows 10) a few days later
    but since then I have not had a recurrance of the "Invalid MS-DOS funtion" problem. I can only assume that the original KB3097617 update process did not complete properly or was otherwise corrupted.
