    Information about an update

    Driver updates are not included in the
    Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 update history    . The
    Microsoft Update Catalog     contains some file information.

    HP finally
    admitted     that their audio driver contains a keylogger. My computer is in the
    list     of affected notebooks. The reason I'm trying to get more information on this update is that I'm trying to figure out if this update is supposed to fix that problem.

    I have Realtek High Definition Audio so this would not affect me right? I don't see the log either.

    Seems only Conexant devices are affected... according to some sources Realteck is out of this...
    I wonder, why they do this?

    lol... he means the early beta versions of build 10240 (IIRC, maybe was an earlier build), they had a "keylogger"... that was nothing but a telemetry thing to evaluate the users and their issues with the OS...

    That myth was burried since the final revision... they only have the telemetry tools, that gets important kernel information to see how to fix issues in the OS... personally, that is disabled on my system not because of privacy, but to high CPU and HDD usage, that sometimes renders the system unusable for important tasks...

    As did mine. The wife and I both have an HP Envy 15T Notebook and they both had that log, as well as the mictray64.exe.
    The list they produced of affected models didn't list the Envy, but the stuff was in there anyway.
    I discovered the issue when Kaspersky began complaining about it. I deleted both the log and the mictray64.exe in both computers. Since then I read that HP has produced a patch.
