    Some Icons in windows 10 Showing a Rectangle. How to fix it?


    In the Notification center menu, the Windows security menu and some icons in the Windows 10 settings menu are showing this square. I have attached the images. Please can anyone help me to fix this? Booting Method - UEFIPartition scheme - GPT

    WiFi icon showing weird rectangle

    Well, the reason I was attracted to was that my WI-FI was experiencing problems in my laptop (it would work on my mobile but my laptop would show "resolving host" error). It still happens sometimes (once every other day, maybe). I don't know if it is related
    to the rectangle icon or just some router issue.

    And as for the fix you suggested, well, I tried that. Deleted all the profiles and reconnected. Nope, no change. Nada. Still the same.

    Hi Sushruta Bhattacharjee,

    temporarily switch off the router and all the other wireless devices in the house, smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs, etc.
    Just keep your pc turned on.
    Do you still see the icon of that rectangle in the list of available Wi-Fi networks?

    Skipping/CD details show as rectangles

    Hi - I seem to be having the same problem (2.) - i.e. the track lists show ok through Gallery but as rectangles/zeros through Music Player. Did you manage to find a fix for this? I'd appreciate a reply if you did. Thanks
