Windows 10: Some keys not working in Keyboard in Windows 10 Dell laptop

26/10/2024.Hello I have a Dell laptop with windows 10 installed in it. My Space bar, Delete, Right arrow, Down arrow key is not working. When ever I press the mentioned keys nothing happens. I have not tried anything in windows registry other than that i have tried uninstalling keyboard drivers from device manager and restarted laptop, I have tried trouble shooting keyboard, I have tried updating drivers for keyboard from device manager, I have reset the PC and reinstalled windows 10 nothing happens.Sticky keys are turned off. Please help.

Has the Notebook been worked on? Do any of those keys work if holding down the Shift key? Have you used compressed air to blow out any crud that may be blocking the keys?

It's not expensive nor hard to replace the keyboard, usually can find a video or step-by-step articles on the 'net.

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to the laptop to check if that helps.

Further you may also use the onscreen keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.

  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.
