Windows 10: Some (not all) mp4 thumbnails don't show on Win10 since yesterday

As title, since yesterday. Don't know what caused this, if the restore point or the Windows 1909 Update I made immediately after.

I tried deleting icon cache, refreshing, restarting, sfc /scannow, cheking/uncheking that folder option that "shows only icons and never thumbnails"... but nothing.

And as title, not all my mp4 files have this issue; I think 1/2 of them. I'm going crazy; please help me.

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (20.006.20034)

.mp4 thumbnail icons!?

Did the feature update this morning and now I don't get thumbnail previews for .mp4 files only!

Any idea why anyone!? I like my thumbnails!!!

EDIT: To be more specific it seems it's only not going to show me the .mp4 video thumbnails for the videos that came from my MotoZ2 play device which are in 4k. if that may have anything to do with it?

 

Thumbnails no longer generating for .mp4 files

I recently installed and uninstalled a bunch of programs (which I believe caused the issue).

Afterwards, for some reason, only .mp4 files will no longer generate thumbnails in the explorer. Any new .mp4 file I create now shows up as a default blank thumbnail. Existing .mp4 files (before the issue came up) still retained their thumbnails. All other
types of files are showing up fine.

I deleted the thumbnail cache, and all thumbnails regenerated except .mp4 files.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thank you.
