    Some of my number keys (the ones on top of the letter) started acting as the fn ones, HELP


    I was just playing and suddenly 3 of my number keys started to act as fn keys, I know 3 acts as f2 (dims brightness) and other two (dont know which ones yet) take a screenshot and acts as f5

    I probably pressed something by accident, how can I fix this?

    Laptop FN Lock?

    My boss has a Sony Vaio VGN-AR190G, it seems like FN lock is on, because when he types certain letters that have numbers when pushed with the function key, it types numbers instead of letters. I do not even see a function lock key on this keyboard. I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried googling the issue but haven't come up with a solution. There was a wireless keyboard plugged into the laptop for awhile, I checked that one for a FN lock key and it doesn't have one either.

    The Fn key - All-in-One Media Keyboard

    Hi

    I'm using "All-in-One Media Keyboard" with my laptop (win 10 pro 64 bit),

    Right now if I want to refresh a page, I have to press "F5" key and "Fn" key,

    and if I press the "F5" key it will open Cortana search.

    I wish to change that the other way around (for ALL 'F' keys)

    (so I only need to press "F5" key in order to refresh a page, and "F5+Fn" for search)

    I'm using the latest "Microsoft Mouse Keyboard Center".

    I've tried "Capslock + Fn" to get the "F-Lock" affect (was suggested in the forums), but it doesn't do anything at all.

    Please let me know if I can toggle the "Fn" key.

    FN key always on

    Fn key got absolutely nothing to do with BIOS.

    It just requires some bizarre combination. One of this should do the trick:

    fn + scrl
    fn+ num
    fn + F11
    fn + F8
