Windows 10: Some of my Windows Taskbar buttons are not working

After updating my PC, some of my Windows Taskbar buttons lost their functionality.Here the green marked ones are working properly, while the red ones are not. Note that even though when I click they don't do their function, I can right click all of them and the tab that is supposed open is opening for each red marked button.Before looking for a help here, I searched available solutions and tried these which none of them worked:Restarting the PCRestarting Windows Explorer through Task ManagerKilling Windows Explorer task and running a new task: explorer.exe through Task ManagerEnsuring that my

Taskbar buttons not working

Hi,

To resolve your concern regarding the Start button, follow the steps below:

• Go to This PC.
  
• Click on Local Disk (C.
• Select Windows.
• Click on System32.
• Right click on cmd, and then Run as administrator.
• On the Command Prompt box, type sfc/ scannow, and then press
  Enter.

7. Check the result that you will get.

If the result is Found corrupt files and repair successfully, test your Windows and Search button again.

If the result is Found corrupt files but unable to repair, follow the steps below:

• Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
• At the flashing prompt, type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth then press Enter.
• Once it says Operation successful, try your Windows and Search button again.

If the result is No integrity violation, follow the steps below:

• Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
• Type powershell, and then press Enter.
• Wait until you see PS C:\windows\system32>, at the flashing prompt type this command
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} then press Enter.
• If you see any error in red, ignore it.
• Once done, try your Windows and Search button.

Taskbar is not showing icons and windows button is not working

Hello all,

Just as the title says, my taskbar is not working properly. Nothing is showing up on it, the Windows button does nothing, although I am able to right click the taskbar and Windows button.

I have tried restarting Windows Explorer through the task manager, but then I can't right click the taskbar anymore and my desktop is nothing but my personal colour.
