    Some of the keys on my PC keyboard stopped responding


    Hello, since the last update for my HP personal computer many troubles start to happen, at the beginning the WIFI setting disappeared, and each time I have to restart my computer several times until the setting shows back. Then another trouble appears, some of the keys on the keyboard stopped working, I tried to reinstall the keyboard service, it worked for a little bit then they stopped working again. The problem is not in the keys themselves, their is something wrong with the windows.. I'm talking about the keys Z X C V T Y and CTRL. * Moved from Insider

    Sometimes my keyboard plays up. It's been happening for a couple of days now. Sometimes, the keyboard stops responding and I have to re-insert it or it locks onto one key like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis.

    Any suggestions? I've tried troubleshooting the device but the results say that the keyboard could have simply stopped responding. It also is not affected by the ASUS Smart Gesture settings.

    The "a" key has stopped working on my keyboard

    Hi,

    Keyboard issues might have been caused by an incompatible driver. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to know the following:

    • Have you tried using other external keyboard?
    • When was the last time that you are able to use your keyboard key properly?
    • Have you made any recent changes to your PC settings prior to this issue?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps given on this article:

    Thanks for the update and response.

    Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    I would suggest you to use the On Screen Keyboard by click on Ease of access login to the computer and then follow the below methods.



    Uninstall keyboard driver and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Keyboard.
    • Right on the Keyboard driver and click on Uninstall.
    • Install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.
