Windows 10: Some programs have been converted to appref-ms files?

I have just encountered a problem where two programs on my laptop have turned into "appref-ms" files, they had to be "downloaded" again when attempting to open them and all the files have been moved in to the AppData folder. The only major change to my laptop I can think of is I had just installed the Office 365 trial however I am unsure if this is related. Does anyone know what may have caused this and if there is a way to restore all the application data to where it was originally stored? I have a appref-ms based program that will not run.

I have a appref-ms based program that will not open for the primary user on a Windows 10 PC. Instead of a login screen I get a message that "an error occured while accessing this site." I created a second user on that same PC. The program runs fine in the second user's account. How can I resolve this problem?

 

A Good program to convert files with

My mom wants to convert a bunch of her Karaoke DVDs to MP3 format. Normally this isn't a problem (I'm using 'Any Video Converter') since the the segments are dividing into a bunch of .vob format files but this DVD has the music on the 2nd audiotrack instead of the 1st audiotrack so when I convert them the audio is all wrong because its using the 1st audiotrack.

Can anybody recommend a good program to use that gives a better control over file format conversion?
