Windows 10: Some programs not starting

I just recently built a new PC. Everything was working fine 3 weeks until today when I started my computer.
I got an error message about OneDrive not being able to start over a qt plugin.

Then I noticed some other programs were not starting.

When double clicking discord off of desktop, it never starts. I opened task manager and I couldn't find it on the list to try and end task it and try again.
If i search random programs or try to run CMD by searching it in taskbar, nothing happens.
I tried opening control panel from the start menu, same thing.

There are no error messages. Did the pathing on some of these programs get lost? or Overwritten by something? Very strange intermittent problem.


HELP!


Also, from the beginning of my build, the computer would connect via WIFI but not LAN. Bios is completely updated, so I googled the ASUS Z490-E ethernet specific driver and have to run it at each startup. Very strange.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Windows 10 Start Menu Programs Incorrect Location

Hi Kat,



As you are unable to open the program from Start screen. I would suggest you to right click on it and click on
Unpin from Start. Browse to the file location, right click on it and select Pin to Start to set it properly.



To change the Start settings, follow these steps:

• Click on Search and type “Start settings” without quotes.
• Click on the Start settings (System settings).
• It will open the Personalization window with Start settings.
• From here you can make the necessary changes.
