    Some software disconnect my wifi only when power cord is plugged in


    report what happens to me. some software drops my wifi connection, but this only happens when the laptop is wired to the power outlet, whether it's charging or just plugged in. I did some tests with two programs OBS STUDIO ILLUSTRATOR and FONTLAB, the first two cause the loss of the connection illustrator only when a file is open not on start screen, the third one does not. I don't know what the relationship between the programs and the charging cable could be but when the pc is connected and I accede one of these two instantly I lose the connection, and just as instantly I recover it by clo

    Hi all, I have a relatively new laptop. I connect to WIFI via a mobile hotspot, pocket wifi or house connection. The WIFI will drop out if I don't have the power cord plugged in. When I don't have the cord connected and the WIFI drops out, the 'trouble
    shooter section' suggests that an ethernet cable is 'missing'. Maybe this is why it is stable when I do connect the power cord? Seems strange. Can anyone help?

    Hi Christoph,

    Many thanks for your quick reply. I followed your easy step by step instructions and so far so good!

    I have disabled the 'switch off to save power option' and have disconnected the power cord. WiFi has stayed connected now for over five minutes - which is certainly a promising start! I will mark this as 'resolved' and update the entry if I experience
    any further issues.

    ASUS ~ Windows 10, WIFI stops working when AC power cord is removed from ASUS Desktop

    As long as the power cord is plugged I have WIFI connection. When the power cord is disconnected, the message WIFI is not available comes up and WIFI disconnects from the router. I plug the power cord in and reboot and WIFI becomes available. It doesn't
    seem be be the search engines as it does this in Firefox and Google Chrome

    I replaced the battery

    Downloaded and ran ASUS PC Diagnostics

    Updated Windows drivers

    Performed a systems scan with Bitdefender

    Changed the battery settings

    Any ideas how to fix this?
