Windows 10: Some Steam games do not work after Windows 10 update?

Since I now look for days in the net not a single solution to my problem, or ne solution found. I now ask my own question and hope that someone can help me.

So the problem is that some of Steam's games don't work anymore, so as soon as I start them, they go on for a short time and then go off again immediately, and he's been doing that since I switched from the 1809 version to 1909 (from then on it didn't work anymore) and then to 2004.

before that they went without any problems unfortunately this occurs in older games

e.g. (Batman Arkham Origins, Total War Rome 2, L.A Noire, Alien vs Predator and a few others) irritating is the very old game but go again e.g. (*Porta.l*)

I assume that since I have updated Windows, that he hasn't downloaded anything, which older games need, which is not imaginable for me, because I don't know anything about such things I can't find a solution.

Another problem what was on the net was that I should play the games in compatibility mode, but this is not true for me, because the games before were still working, but I have already tested this did not work either.

To keep it short I can only say that I have already tested and done almost everything, unfortunately nothing worked

my system i don't think i need to write because like i said before the games went before

( and yes my drivers are all up to date )

oh yes and yes i have made my complete pc new after the update didn't work and installed the new version directly and formatted it and installed Windows completely new with the new version didn't work either.

Windows 10 Steam game crashes

• What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

Steam Games not working on windows 10

I also had a similar problem when upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and some Steam games failed to run properly.

The solution is simple, you need to verify the game file contents in the steam client to fix any issues found since the upgrade. To do this:

1. Load Steam Client

2. Click on Library

3. Select a game

4. Right click the game, select Properties

5. Click on Local Files tab

6. Select 'Verify integrity of Game Cache'

7. Wait for that to finish

8. Repeat steps 3-7 for other games

9. Try running the game again.
