Windows 10: Some type of blue colors turn purple on my monitor.

I recently got a new monitor, Dell 27 Monitor I noticed that some type of blue colors that are not light become purple. On my laptop display it is fine. I tried looking for drivers but they did not have any drivers for the monitor for windows 11 which I am using. Is there a way to fix this?

From your description, there is no consistency with the color problems you are encountering . . .

I looked up "color green" and it is blue - that means yellow is missing

I looked up "color purple" and it is red - that means blue is missing

I looked up "color blue" and it is purple - that means too much red

I would suggest, the problem is not your PC that it is a problem with the new monitor, it is either not calibrated correctly or a hardware issue . . .

Is there a menu on that monitor, where you can re-calibrate the color from?

If you connect another monitor to your PC are the colors okay, if so, then it is a problem with the new monitor and you should get a replacement . . .

 

Every color on my monitor is different

I just bought a monitor and I just picked it up today at BestBuy. It is an LG - UltraGear 24" LED FHD FreeSync Monitor - Black Model:24GL600F SKU:6357416

Every color on it is just wrong like I'm looking up these colors on google and it is all wrong.

I looked up "color green" and it is blue

I looked up "color red" and it is brownish

I looked up "color orange" and it is green

I looked up "color purple" and it is red

I looked up "color pink" and it is orange

I looked up "color blue" and it is purple

Anyways you get the point all the colors are just wrong. I look up the same thing on a different monitor and it shows the right color, the color that it is supposed to be I don't get it. I send the pictures to my friend and he says it is purple but I see it
as red on my screen. This is a brand new monitor that I just got today a few hours ago.

 

Windows changes the color cast of a window on ALL monitors when 51% of the image is shown on one monitor vs the other?

This is bizarre. I have a picture of a cloudy sky for example, on my left monitor. It is very blue. I drag it to my right monitor, and it looks purple, but it's NOT either monitor itself doing it, because when the image is split across both monitors (halfway dragged across), it is not half blue half purple.

It is instead ALL blue when 51% of the image is on the left side of the split, then then when i drag it a few more pixels to the right, it flips to purple color on BOTH monitors all at once.

So each monitor is capable of showing it in the blue cast or the purple cast just fine. It's Windows 10 deciding to change the color balance of that window only in BOTH monitors depending on which monitor has the majority of the image on it.

Why would Windows ever intentionally change color balance by window on two monitors? And how do I make it stop...
