Windows 10: Some websites are unable to be reached after I turn on hotspot.

Hello! I have a windows 11 and I have my laptop connected via ethernet cable. As the title states, for some reason, every time I turn my hotspot on so I can connect my phone to it, some websites become unreachable. A blank white page will appear saying the site cannot be reached and the connection was reset. I have tried fiddling with the settings such as Network and Sharing Center where I go to Properties and Sharing to allow other users to connect, and I have changed it several times between the options, but doing so then causes the secondary active network which is the hotspot to have no

Unable to turn on Mobile Hotspot


Hi.
I'm on a metered connection using my USB Data Card, but been unable to to turn on the Mobile Hotspot to share my connection with other devices (see screenshot below).
Any help would be very much appreciated.

You can try the following steps:

Method 1: Turn off Bluetooth on your device and then try setting up a Mobile hotspot again. You can quickly disable Bluetooth in the Action Center.

Method 2: Run the Network Adapter Troubleshooter. This troubleshooter is an automated tool which finds and fixes the common issues with the Network Adapter Settings on the computer. Kindly follow the steps below:

1. Click Start.
   
2. On the search bar, type Troubleshooting, and click on Troubleshooting from the results.
   
3. Click on Network and Internet.
   
4. Under Network, click on Network Adapter.
   

Method 3: Update your network and Wi-Fi drivers. To update, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + X and click on Device manager.
   
2. Locate Network adapters and click on the arrow to expand it.
   
3. Right click on your network and Wi-Fi adapter, and click on Update Driver Software.
   
4. You can also find updated drivers on your computer manufacturer's website. If you need further assistance, we recommend that you contact your manufacturer.

Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot Not working

Hi,

Your Bluetooth connection may be enabled which prevents you from setting up your mobile hotspot. To have this addressed, we suggest turning off the Bluetooth connection and see if you're able to set up your mobile hotspot. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings and select Devices.
• Click Bluetooth, then toggle it OFF.

Once done, check if you can now turn on your computer's mobile hotspot. Let us know how it goes.
