Windows 10: someone claiming to be from microsoft called me I hung up 5 times they gained remote access...

I am not well I got a call saying from microsoft security my pc had been hacked. I hung up 5 times then they threatened me with breach of security saying microsoft would cose my pc I let them in I had chemo yesterday so am not feeling great PLEASE HELP what do I do

Remote Access

I just purchased Window 10 Pro as I was told my Windows Support that this was the only way to gain access to another computer remotely. Now I am trying to connect and I have had no success. I called tech support 4 times today and was told that I would
have to spend another $149 to gain support access??? I told them I was not interested in spending more money; I just needed information on how to gain remote access. I was told that they would email me step-by-step instructions. After 2 hrs and no email,
I once again called support where another rep said she would email me the instructions. I received her email which contained no instructions; it just told me to contact this forum to resolve my issues. Seriously disappointed in the support help I received
today! So after spending $139 for the Windows 10 Pro upgrade I am still struggling to gain remote access to another computer. Any help from here would be greatly appreciated!

 

Remote Access

I've tried TeamViewer but because I'm on a network they see this as being a business and their program cost around $700. I am really upset and will be contacting Windows Support again....as they are the ones that told me I needed PRO in order to gain
remote access to my other computer. What I really need is just some steps on how to use PRO and the step-by-step actions required for me to gain remote access.

 

Phone calls that claim to be from Microsoft

It is a Scam.

Microsoft will never contact you with cold-calls, popups, etc.

This is the advice given to anyone who has any phone calls, etc. like this about Malware, License Expiry, Refunds, etc..

And your machine does not send out messages to anyone saying that it has problems or is infected with Malware, etc.

We all have errors and warnings in our event viewer, which is another ploy they use to scare you

These so-called "Microsoft" Tech Companies either want to sell you worthless software, or gain Remote Access to your Computer to try and steal your Banking and Credit Card details and to also carry out an Identity Theft on you.

You are the only one who knows if you have given them Remote Access.

If you have given them Remote Access and if you do Internet Banking, contact your Bank, explain it to them and change Passwords.

If you use your Credit Card online, cancel it and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that you willl know that you are free of them is to save your Data and do a clean install of your Operating System.

And Microsoft does not contact you, unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do so.
