    Hi there MS Community,


    I recently got a Surface Pro 5 as a replacement for a Pro 4 that decided to cook itself. Great device, but I occasionally get this nonsensical message when I try to log in after my wife has been using the Surface. This only affects logins using Windows Hello or the fingerprint reader - if I switch to pin, I can log in immediately.


    Can someone help me to understand this? I've had this message since the upgrade - June 2020. Can I persuade it to allow me to login using fingerprint or Hello after someone else has used the machine?

    Pirated Windows and driver signing?

    LMAO. A driver signing is basically a unique signature (serial-like) that is incorporated into that driver for that device.

    password sign in

    Hi,

    About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

    If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Click on Sign in options.
    • On the right side, you will see required sign in.
    • Change it to Never.

    Let us know how it goes.
