Windows 10: Something happen to my pc, it's been weird

Hello Microsoft Community,



I have been experiencing some problems with my Pc while playing Blu-ray movies.

First things first, back on February 2020, I update windows 10 after this update, I've been having problems such as:

-Microsoft apps like Groove music and Movies & TV app, evertime I open the apps it would send me to Microsoft Store to download it again.
-VLC Player all messed up, Nvidia drivers automatically uninstalled it self.
But the above problems I already have solved them.

What I have been struggling with are the following issues:

On my external HDD some Blu-ray Discs in ISO format, when I go the STREAM folder the thumbnails appear with some black stripes just like the image below

and I cannot play them either. I've tried every media player availabe on my pc, including Microsoft App Movies & TV, VLC, Windows Media Player, MPC-HC.




Don't know why this is happenning only on these files. I Reinstalled VLC, MPC-HC, Nvidia drivers, Codecs, don't know what more to do.

What's weird, is when I open metadata info, it doesn't show information as you can see on the image below.




I don't understand. Are the video files Corrupted?



I don't think so, because I already downloaded again.



The files are from a blu-ray disc, so the format is .m2ts.



I already performed chkdsk on my external HDD and no errors were found.



I also can´t see movies.



Note:

By the way a Blue Screen BSOD with the error "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area", appeares evertime I update Windows and restart my Pc not letting me install the updates.

As you can see I'm having trouble in understanding if these problems were due to the February update, because it´s as if my computer has been affected with a "Coronovirus".



I hope someone could help me, in case of not understanding my info I can explain in more detail if necessary.

Weird Noise after Anniversary Update

Hello John,

Let’s check what is causing that weird sound on your laptop.

Based on the link that you had provided, it seems that it’s either your CPU fan or Hard drive which is creating that sound.

If it’s the CPU fan, it might be an issue due to heavy processing, processor heating up or changes made during the update. If it’s your Hard drive, the issue might be with HDD performance. We suggest you to back up all your data to your external drive
to prevent data loss.

Follow these steps to resolve your issue:

Step 1: Check your Task Manager

Close all applications and check in task manager for any high usage of resources by any process.

• Press Ctrl + Shift+ Esc together to open task manager.
• Click on more details and check for any apps that is taking more resources.
• Take note of any Applications that are taking High CPU usages and try to disable it if it’s not that important.

Step 2: Start your computer in Safe Mode

Safe mode will start computer with basic drivers to check what might be causing the issue in normal functioning of computer. Check if the weird sounds are still happening.

Step 3: Run Hardware and Device troubleshooter

• Press Windows + W, and type troubleshooting.
• From the search list, click on troubleshooting.
• On the left pane click on view all to get the list.
• Click on hardware and devices troubleshooter.
• Follow the on screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting.

Hardware and device troubleshooter is an inbuilt troubleshooter that will find the issues with hardware devices and try to fix them automatically.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
