I'm locked out of my Windows 10 account and when it gives me the option to "Set up my pin" it just loads to absolutely nothing. I've tried all the solutions that Google has provided me but I can't seem to fix it.I have tried all the options everything on the Troubleshoot diagnostic page but I can't do anything as it tells me my Microsoft password is incorrect when it isn't as I've changed the password three times and it still doesn't recognise any of my passwords so I cannot restore the PC at all, or remove the updates or anything :I've tried booting it in Safe Mode but it comes up with siho

• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

If this doesn't work, there are other procedures available to consider.
--- Some of them include registry changes.
--- Are you familiar with working in the registry?

BTW, have you saved your data along with a system image backup ready?

 

Log-in Pin is incorrect after Anniversary update


I had the same issue after my update on Windows 10. I knew that my pin hadn't changed but it was saying it was incorrect. So I said that I forgot my pin and it started going through the steps to reset the pin entered my regular password and when the window popped up to set a new pin I said cancel and then I chose the option to set my pin later. I exited the screen, logged off logged back in, and set up a new pin which happened to be the same pin I had before and it worked. If this still doesn't work I can show step by step screen shots if you need. I have a surface 3 with Windows 10 fully updated 10.0.14393.0
