Windows 10: Something has happened and your PIN isn’t available. Tap to set up your pin again.

I encountered this issue when I tried to log back in to my laptop an hour later after I put it to sleep. I could see the other sign in option but I am not able to really use it, and I can’t reset my PIN as well, it just doesn’t respond when clicked. I still have to enter my password and that’s the only way I can get around it and it says incorrect each time I enter it. I have not changed my password but I did change my PIN that day before I put it to sleep. I tried to reset and all the other steps mentioned on the Internet, seems no way. I guess a bunch of other people have also been experienc

Pin Login not available and can't change or remove my pin

Hi Saschavan,

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

Since you have a Microsoft account, you should see this instead
Microsoft account sign-in options




If this doesn't work, there are other procedures available to consider.
--- Some of them include registry changes.
--- Are you familiar with working in the registry?

BTW, have you saved your data along with a system image backup ready?

"Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again". When I click on "setup PIN" it does nothing.

WIN 11 upgraded last night from WIN 10 by itself and now I can't get in to the PC. I only have one profile on the PC and I have tried a system fix in advanced options.

Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help
