Windows 10: Something interfering with Stylus functionality

Hello everyone. I am having an issue that is almost driving me to the edges of insanity.

In short, I have a resistive stylus that I use to make notes on OneNote. The stylus operation is very simple, it needs to physically make contact with the screen with a certain amount of pressure for it to start writing. Just touching a screen lightly or keeping it a certain distance from the screen will move the cursor but not cause any "writing" input. However, occasionally (sometimes a day, a week even a month) something happens that causes my pen to malfunction in a way that even when I am holding it away from the screen in a static position (but close enough to the screen to be recognized of course) it makes random motions as if the pen is moving up and down extremely fast. The attached video will make it clear what I am talking about.
My "solution" to this problem has been to activate system restore and create a restore point when I know that the pen is working and return to that point. The pen was functioning fine till today and it has been a few months that I didn't have this issue. But today it started again and rolling back the computer to the system image created a mere 2 days ago fixed it. The system image description said "Removed Logmein Hamachi" and it was an automatically-created restore point. But this is not the first time and the problem seems to be fixed every time I return back to the latest available system image that was created when I installed/uninstalled some random program.

I was in a long and arduous contact with HP support thinking that this maybe a hardware issue. But I am less and less convinced of this right now and think it probably has to do with some software. They may have implied that it may have to do with OS. Personally, I think that the HP support is incompetent beyond human comprehension as they will do anything just not to take responsibility. One tech support assistant even said that this maybe due to interference from some other piece of electronic that may or may not be in my house.

I asked them to at least tell me where are the files located that govern stylus behavior. Rolling back the system obviously helped so some file must have been deleted that was "interfering" with the stylus. But unfortunately I never got response from this. They say that there is no such thing.

Which leaves me totally wondering, what kind of entity is causing this "problem"

I feel like there is a folder somewhere in the windows folder or something that has files inside which affect stylus behaviour. So, knowing how it looks like when the pen is working fine might let me "restore" it to that condition without resetting or rolling back my OS hopefully.

I am using 64-bit version of Win10

I genuinely appreciate your input and suggestions regarding how to fix this abomination.

stylus pen

• Were you able to use your stylus pen before without any issues?
• When did you start having this issue?
• Are you getting any error messages when using your stylus pen for drawing?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

How to change Aftermarket Stylus button functions???

I've searched high and low all over to find a forum anywhere that can explain to me how to change the button functions on my stylus. I DO NOT have a windows 10 Pro factory pen, I am using a NuVision Stylus that is compatible and works fine on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The reason I am trying to figure this out is because i'm using Adobe Illustrator to draw and the issue is there's no "history" panel like photoshop has so to undo something you need to click image>undo everytime which is annoying if your trying to draw. The button combo to use undo faster is Ctrl+Z in Illustrator so I was going to change one of the buttons on my pen to be configured to "Ctrl+Z" so when i click the button, it'll undo whatever I just did, instead manually finding it through the "image" menu as stated before.
The other issue is that Windows seems to only be geared towards allowing users to configure default stylus' for the Surface Pro. I even went into control center and found where it says "Set flicks to perform certain tasks", but all that does is show you what the clicks do now (which is single click acts as a single click and double acts as a double click. i'll post screenshots as well to show) and change speed. Nothing about actually changing what the button functions do. The other useless option is going to pen and windows ink which does 0 for me. I've searched everywhere in the computer for a setting but nothing. If anyone could please tell me if i'm missing something or how to change these damn buttons that'd be awesome.
As I said, this is NOT a default Surface Pro pen, this is a NuVision Stylus. It draws fine and connects, there just seems to be no way to edit the button functions.

I suggest you to run a Windows Store apps troubleshooter and Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Please follow the below mentioned steps to run App troubleshooter:

  Search for Troubleshooting in the
  Search box, and run it.
  
• 
  Select view all in the
  left pane of troubleshooting Window.
  
• 
  Click on the Hardware and Devices, and follow the
  on-screen instructions.
  
• 
  After completing the Hardware and Devices
  troubleshooting, now run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store Apps option on the troubleshooter window and follow the
  on-screen instructions.
