Windows 10: "Something went wrong, try again or select cancel to set up your device later"

Hi there! Nyx here, ive been constantly receiving this error for the past few months and it has been very hindering to my overall user experience. Whenever i try to login into my laptop, it would say "Something went wrong, try again or select cancel to setup your device later.". Despite constant restarts and waiting, it still wont let me in and use my laptop. Not even on my ipad i could login since it would say "Too many requests". Please help. Im currently on my alt to ask this question so it would be nice if i could get a perma fix for this kind of error.

After I click add a family member in the family & other users, I get " something went wrong try again, or select cancel to set up your device later"

So clicking "add family member" button and show "something went wrong try again, or select cancel to set up your device later" is a normal behavior, if I am just using local account?

So if you change your windows to Local account and click "add a foamily member" it also shows "something went wrong try again, or select cancel to set up your device later". So is not my personal individual problem?

 

Win Update: Something went wrong. Try to reopen Settings later.

Again, thank you for your reply. Had you used the MajorGeeks site I gave you per your request, the download should have been fairly easy. If you don't like that either, then for your future reference, Softpedia.com is another reliable host site for many good programs. And of course, if you don't like those, you can use Google to find more download options. When I've suggested this program in other threads, people typically haven't had difficulty running it. First boot to Safe Mode. Then run the program. Then work through options

Getting started/1/2/3/4 - these are sensible steps and basic checks. - if you are sufficiently confident, you can skip 1 or more. Then Backup Tools - if you wish e.g. to create a Restore Point. Then Repairs Main, Open Repairs - and select only the repair you want. (Windows Update). Have you considered reading the Help file?
