Windows 10: Something went wrong, unable to set up your pin

Hi all. I've replaced a motherboard in my PC like for like, but on booting into Windows it says my old pin isn't valid. I've created a new one in the past without issue and also have authorisation linked to my smartphone. However when I click create a new pin and it asks ' Are you sure' I get 'Something went wrong, unable to set up your pin' I can retry, which does the same again, or try again later.I cannot reinstall Windows as I need to access files and programs on the install. This is rediculous that even with authorisation from my phone linked to my Microsoft account I still can't get i

• Did you encounter any error messages?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done to troubleshoot the problem?
• Which Windows 10 version/build is currently installed on your computer? To check, type
  winver in the search option.

Unable to set up PIN

Hi,

There can be many reasons why you are unable to set up a PIN on your device. One of these is due to corrupted system files. For us to properly figure out what's causing this error, we'd like to confirm the following information:

• How and when did the issue start?
• Have you recently installed any updates?
• Have you made any relevant changes to your device prior to this happening?
• Have you tried using another profile to check if the same thing occurs?
• What steps have you taken so far to resolve the issue?

Windows Hello PIN Something went wrong. we weren't able to set up your pin.

Surface book2; I got this message "Windows Hello PIN Something went wrong. we weren't able to set up your pin. You can try again, or skip this step and set up PIN later" since 2 years ago until now. I looked through all the suggested like NGC file, DISM command, gpedit.msc, and more. I really don't want to reinstall everything because it will cause more problem and time.

please fix this problem.
