Windows 10: SOMETIMES an java application windows opens in the foreground and SOMETIMES in the background

Hello AllI am working on Java desktop application for Windows which is able to opens multiple windows. Opening a new windows of the app maybe triggered via REST call. To test the scenario of opening a new window via REST call I have a command application that sends a request. The command app is trigger via Windows Terminal. Here starts the root problem: Sometimes a new window of Java app appears in front of the Windows Terminal and it is focused and sometimes in the background and not focused.The expectation is that the new window will open in the foreground and focused.I cannot get any concre

An app is suddenly running in background instead of foreground as it should

I run Windows 10.

When I tried to start an app it suddenly started to run in the background instead of foreground as it should, as seen in the Taskmanager.

It is an "external" app and is thus not listed in the Settings-privacy- background apps list

I want to force it back to run as foreground app again.

Is it possible?

control which apps are allowed to run in the background. To see which apps have permission, just follow the below steps:

• Open the Start menu or Start screen and select “Settings.”
• Click or tap the “Privacy” icon in the Settings.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select “Background apps.”
  
• You’ll see a list of apps that have permission to run in the background with an “On/Off” toggle.

Just bear in mind that, apps normally run in the background to update their live tiles, download new data, and receive notifications. If you want an app to continue performing these functions, you should allow it to continue running in
the background.

Select a window in the background, it does not come to the foreground

Original title: Windows 10 foreground problem

With Windows 10 and two or more windows open, sometimes when I select a window in the background it does not come to the foreground. It doesn't matter if I use key strokes or mouse click. The only way I can see the full window is minimize the to window.
Sometimes it works fine but most of the time it doesn't.
