Windows 10: Son no longer shows in my family group, but still shows part of the group under his account...

It says my son left the family group, but he did not. Now he doesn't show up in my parent account, but when I go to his account he is still shown as part of my family. I tried inviting him back, but it says he is already a part of a family group. I have checked his account, there is NO BUTTON that says leave family group as per other help threads, and he is not part of any other family. So it's just one giant loop that we can't get out of, it's maddening. Please help!

Can't add my son to my family group

Hello,

A while back I had setup an outlook account for my 8 year son that has Xbox connected to it. However, now I'd like to add him to my family group (for screen time, etc) but keep getting the notice that he's part of another group.

I then logged into his account via family.microsoft.com but don't see the option to 'leave family group' as the notification suggests.

Please advise.

I want to remove my account from my family group. It is the ONLY account listed and I do not want this account showing up on my Windows login screen

 

Problem adding my son to my family group

Hi,

I want to set up my son on Minecraft and am facing a problem with adding him to my family group in order to manage permissions.

I have sent an invitation to his Outlook account to join my family group. When he tries joining the family group using the link in the invitation, he gets a message saying he is already part of another family group which he must first leave.

However when I look at which family group he's part of, I can't find any. On the Outlook home page when I use the left hand menu to look at which groups he's part of, it says "you have not joined any groups yet".

So- in short, I'm stuck.
