    Sort order of files based on name is wrong


    Hi all,i sorted a list of files by NAME -> ASCENDINGbut i have noticed that the list is sorted incorrectly and not fully in name order, it is almost in name order. I have highlighted with a red line anything that is not in the correct sort order.I saw someone in the windows 10 forum that had the same issue a couple of years ago but no solution was achieved.This bug still exists in windows 11.Please fix.

    File Explorer: How to change Drive names/Sort order?

    This does not relate to my question. I was specifically referring to File Explorer and the way the drives are listed.

    They are listed by the disk volume label first, then the drive letter. If the drive letter were first, it would sort the way I want.

    So, how to change that order?

    Name order...

    Is it at all possible to change the name order in the sms inbox...

    Contacts list can be sorted first or last name first.... can we please the same thing for the sms list.... really annoying when sms are delivered to last name - first name.

    Windows 10 File Explorer Folder Sort Order

    Why does File Explorer not remember sort preferences when I go into a key folder or library (like "Pictures" for example")?

    After a boot I go into Pictures I sort it in "date modified". Next boot I go back in to "Pictures" in file explorer and its back in File/Folder name order. There is not one single person on earth that wants a large folder with lots of sub-folders sorted
    in filename / folder name order. And those that do are wrong. I don't need to point out this was sorted (pun intended) in Windows XP SP3. 4 OS's and 14 years later.....
