Windows 10: Sort pictures by date taken after transferring to new drive

I just purchased a new network storage drive and transferred all my pictures from my old drive to the new. The pictures are in folders named from the event, but not named by date. On my old drive I could sort by the date the folder was created, but on the new drive, all the folders we're created in the same day I transferred the data, so I can't sort by that any more. I've tried right clicking in the new drive, and then sort by, more, then selecting all the date fields, but none of them have the date the images in each folder were taken. Any ideas? Thanks.

Transfer the files to a PC and Look at "Date Created", "Date Modified", "Date Taken"

In your pictures folder, Right Click > Point to Sort By > Select More

Here you will find a list of Details. Select which Details you wish to view when viewing Photos

 

How to sort pictures by date in Windows 10

You can sort your picture files by date using File Explorer. Here's how:

• Open File Explorer.
• Navigate to the folder where you store your pictures.
• Click the View tab.
• Click Sort by, then click the preferred option (Date,
  Date taken, Date created, etc.)

Photo App ignoring Date Taken of pictures

I file my Pictures in folders for Year. Within the Year, pictures are filed by Date Taken.

When I open the Photo App, the pictures are listed by Year, but not in Date Taken sequence.
