    Sound Blaster Recon3Di Problems


    So I upgraded my MOBO the other day to a GIGABYTE Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK Black Edition and I believe there is something wrong with the built-in Sound Blaster Recon3Di or it's drivers. Randomly the audio jumps to it's maximum potential and muffled/distorted (whith headphones in as well). The volume bar will say 18 (or any other number) but it plays at max unless it is changed to zero. I installed the default driver but if I install the latest it always says no compatible device detected. I tried installing Realtek but it never shows up. Also when I have headphones in they work (get same issue as above aswell) but it says Speaker, now I have to unplug my device everytime instead of switching on the desktop when the audio does work. It used to be seperate but now it is just one.

    Sound Blaster Recon3Di not working with Windows 10 Creator Update

    I was having this same issue after the update. Then I ran the Sound Blaster Recon3dI control panel program and hit "test" and the sound started working again. Didn't do anything more than that.

    Alienware Laptop M17x R4 - Sound Blaster Recon3Di - headphone jack not functioning properly

    Hello,

    What I have:

    I have an Alienware Laptop M17x R4 with a Sound Blaster Recon3Di and Windows 10.

    Sound Blaster Recon 3Di Driver Version: 6.0.100.2055

    The problem:

    Recently, when I plug headphones in, the sound comes out of the headphones AND the speakers. This happens whether I use the headphone jack or the headphone/mic jack.

    What I've done so far:

    I have attempted to uninstall the Recon3Di and associated drivers.

    I have attempted to have the Dell website auto-detect all software/drivers for updating, but since they aren't supporting Windows 10 on my model of Laptop, none of it works.

    I have gone to the website for the Recon3Di, but there are no Windows 10 drivers for my model (they have Recon3D PCIe, but no Recon3Di for a laptop).

    I'm at a loss. Help, please!

    Sound Blaster Recon 3Di Windows 10

    I have a M17X R4 and uninstalling the driver for Sound Blaster Recon3Di in Device Manager (right click Windows Key and click Device Manager, scroll down to Sound, video and game controllers) and uninstalling the software for Sound Blaster Recon3Di (right
    click Windows Key and click Program and Features) worked for me.

    Should prompt you to restart but if not do it yourself. Windows will install a working driver.
