Windows 10: Sound coming from both speakers + headphones

Hello,


I'm having an issue with my sound, when I have my headphones plugged in both my speakers and the headphones generate sound but I only want the headphones to generate sound. It is simple plug and play headphones.


Would anyone know how I can block the sound from my speakers?

but as i said earlier .. I've already done all these things

reinstalled the drivers, did troubleshooting and stuff

still nothing changed

so yeah did everything again . . according to your suggestion( the three steps)

i still face the same problem, speakers work solo as well as when i connect the headphones

i just want that if i connect my headphones, my speakers should stop until i plug out the headphones.

 

I don't have headphones option in Playback Tab.

Updated the drivers from realtek website.Still no headphone option in playback devices and sound coming from both headphones and speakers when headphones are connected.

which solves most of the issues. The sound driver solved the issue with the sound coming from both speakers and the headphones at the same time. Thread marked as solved.
