Windows 10: Sound; communication; communication activity; reduce the volume of other sounds by 80% =...

To whom it may concern, using the latest Windows build 10, using the latest version of Skype, using Logitech gaming wireless headset. Using Skype quite heavily to make calls, like to have music playing in the background in between calls etc. for some reason for about six months now the reduced sound by 80% function no longer works under sound settings. The background sounds keep playing it 100% volume. I've also tried the other options reduced by 50%, and mute all sounds. None of those buttons or options are functioning. How do I get these features back up and running. I have search Google and have found the topic on this. Any help would be appreciated.

Sound volume does not recover after communication

Hello,

My computer "Dell inspiron 7557" uses Realtek Audio. I set that sound volume will drop by 80% during communication activity, but I found that my PC cannot recover its sound volume after communication.

I just reinstalled the OS system (Win 10 Home) and it was not fixed. I reinstalled the driver. Sound volume was recovered but problem is still there.

2 Just updated windows this AM with no know issue

3 Run SFC with fix errors, errors found and fixed( but did not fix my issue)

4. Does not apply, this is not a driver hardware issue, this is a Windows 10 system issue. Doesn't matter the device connected reduce sound does not work...
