Windows 10: sound drivers.windows medea player 12

iv just got a brandnew computer,iv just installed windows 10 pro,and I'm having all sorts of problems,,my medea player wont play certain files,iv updated the codecs,what they said too.it plays some not others..another problem is when I put something on my thumdrive to transfer to my desktop,only some files show up,a music file will be there but emty.nothing in the album,im lost with all this its supposed to be easy to upgrade I'm struggling.any help would stop me pulling the rest of my hair out,,thank you in advance

Sound driver off

Hi,

It's possible that your sound driver was turned off by a third-party application. To fix it, we suggest that you use the built-in Windows 10 audio troubleshooter by following these steps:

• Click Start.
• Type Troubleshoot and press Enter.
• Click Playing Audio.
• Click Run the troubleshooter.

If in case the audio troubleshooter doesn't work, use the other steps in this

I request you to try the steps below:

• Right click on Start menu.
• Select Control panel.
• Open troubleshooting.
• Click on View all on the left hand side pane.
• Select "Windows media player settings" and follow the steps.
• Check if this helps you.

You may try uninstalling and reinstalling the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
Drivers

  Right click on the Start menu.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Graphics Card
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.

  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.



Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
