Windows 10: Sound for incoming emails

Discus and support Sound for incoming emails in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; I've added my Gmail account into built in email application and wondering if there is a possibility to choose and get an immediately sound notification...     Sound for incoming emails


    I've added my Gmail account into built in email application and wondering if there is a possibility to choose and get an immediately sound notification for every incoming email like on my Android phone? The only thing I can see is my name and number of new messages in Start menu and new messages in a line in Action Center, but no sounds notifications.

    Ok ,to put it a different way, email alerts..a sound you hear when an email arrives.I wanted to know how i can get them with WINDOWS 10 ?

    It depends on what email client or service you're using. You can start at Settings > System > Notifications

    I assume you mean " built in email application " as in the Mail app. Yes ?
    If so, try this...............
    Open your Mail app > left side, at the bottom, click the gear icon

    Right side, click Notifications > check the box " Apply to all accounts > check the box " Play a sound"

    See if you want to check the other boxes too.

    Yes, I meant the Mail app. Actually, it works but only when "show a notification banner" is checked also. Hmmm
