Windows 10: Sound Forge Pro 10.0 not recording with Windows 10.

I installed Sound Forge Pro 10.0 on my new Dell computer with Windows 10. I can open the program, but I can't record with it. I plugged in my Samson CO3U mike and set it up as the default device. I can play back files I recorded earlier with Sound Forge Pro, the sound works fine. But I can't record, using the"Recording" button. Can you help? Thanks!

Sound Forge Pro 10 not working in Windows 10.

Original Title: Windows 10 and Sound Forge Pro 10

After I installed Windows 10 everything worked fine but I couldn't open Sound Forge Pro 10. This in spite of the fact during the windows 10 installation it was stated the App 0 incompatible.

I have now reinstalled windows 7 and updated it. and Sound Forge Pro 10 is working fine again.

I thought there was a way that Windows 10 could be adjusted to accommodate Program that were of a different generation and was able to draw your attention to it..

Other than this I was very pleased with Windows 10 and would like to return to it.

Is there anything that can be done other than paying for a new copy of Sound Forge 11?

after a recent window 10 update, sound forge 10 pro gave me this error: forge100.exe - bad image

C:\ Program Files (x86)\sony\Sound Forge Pro 10\frgplugs.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor
for support. Error status 0xc0000020

I did the reinstall software, which worked for a few days and then gave me the same message. I had to reinstall sound forge 9, which has been working fine.

Is sound forge 10 pro not compatible with windows any longer? I use this program for work, so it is very important for me.

Yes, I did contact Sound Forge support which is owned by Magix with no reply from them. I have checked online for anyone else who have had this problem. Sound Forge 10 pro is one of the most update versions other than 11 pro that is out now. I did reinstall
Sound Forge 9 and it is working fine so I don't know what is the issue.

I have Windows 10 Pro with all the updates, which is what I suspect has caused the problem.

I think I was running Sound Forge on compatibility mode when all this started
