Windows 10: Sound is too low

    Sound is too low


    I upgraded my laptop to windows 11 and my audio drivers are up to date. the sound is at 100 but its very low... Help Ican hardly distinguish the sounds!

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Sound is too low :p

    Yes it was working perfect before but after the new installation I went to google and downloaded free windows 10 and just followed the steps. At the beginning it was ok but then it started a load crackling sound and sounds extremely low so I went online
    and saw a lot of people with the same problem so I went with a suggestion online to change to high definition under the sound setting and it took the cracking noise away but it's still very low

    I have already tried all of those suggestions and nothing

    I went from windows 8 to windows 10

    Its an old computer from 2013

    Sound Quality

    One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

    May not be a speaker problem.
