Windows 10: Sound not working in firefox or discord

yesterday night, sound stopped working in the above mentioned applications. They were working fine on tuesday night, and somewhere inbetween the sound broke. I have tried testing other applications on my pcchrome, flash, civ 6, alarm and none of them have any issues. the sound troubleshooter finds nothingand it's ding plays fine, and I have restarted my pcI put this under performance and system failures because I don't see anywhere better to put it. Maybe apps?

Firefox does not work on start up

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Firefox
and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below to uninstall
Firefox:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Look for Firefox and right click on it and click on
  uninstall.
• Reboot the computer after uninstall is complete and try to reinstall them.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Opening Firefox/ browser/Discord etc internet lag about 5-6 seconds
