Windows 10: Sound not working on laptop.

Hi everyone,


I own a Lenovo 920 yoga laptop and just recently the sound has stopped working in the internal speakers. The speaker driver is Realtek High Definition AudioSST. I have,

1. Tried factory resetting my laptop and no sound.

2. Update driver but no sound.

3. Delete driver with the files and all and re-install them but no sound.

4. I have done every single tutorial on advanced settings such as automatic startup and making sure it has proper settings but no sound.

5. I have installed some 2.82 realtek HD audio driver after deleting the current one and sound DOES work after the application deletes the original driver which I already did and resets, but as soon as I turn off my computer for the second time, the original realtek driver re-installs itself and deletes the working one despite deletion with that all files box checked off.

My friend has the exact same laptop and driver so it should be working for mine. I feel like I've tried everything but no fix yet.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Sound problem

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.

Hdmi sound not working

• Have you tried to download and install the most updated sound and display driver of your computer?
