Windows 10: Sound not working on my laptop

Model: Dell Inspiron 15 7000.I have been experiencing no sound on my laptop for several days, including the internal speakers and connected deivices as well. The only sound that worked was my airpods, but not in stereo mode but rather hands-free audio mode, which has very low audio quality. I have tried testing the driver but it only shows up the message, "failed to play test tone" or "you are not connected to a driver". In the device manager, it says that the device is not migrated.I have tried various methods but none of them worked.1. audio troubleshooter2. disabling then enabling both the

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
