Windows 10: Sound notifications after last update.

My PC started to send me sound notifications that something is opening then closing. The issue appeared after the last Windows 10 update. I don’t understand what is going on. The notifications are so annoying that I was forced to turn down computer sound.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Step 1: Click the lower-left Start button, input sound and select Sound from the results to open Sound settings

Step 2: In the Sound dialog, open Sounds and choose Notification in the program events.

Step 3: Tap the Sounds bar, select (None) in the list and click OK.

As per the description I understand that you are unable to hear the email notification sound.

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

• 
  Go to Control Panel Items
  
• 
  Click on Sound.
  
• 
  Click on Sounds Tab.
  
• 
  Click on Desktop Mail Notification.
  
• 
  Click TEST.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

And check if you are able to hear the email notification sound.
