Windows 10: Sound on my laptop isn't working without connecting headphones

For about two months now, I've been unable to hear anything coming from my Medion laptop without using my headphones. I don't know why this is the case, as when I check the Device Manager it says that the driver is up to date. When I try to test sound in settings, it does play but I'm unable to hear it. Does anyone know why this may be and what I could do to fix it?

2. How are you trying to connect the headphones to the laptop?

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

Headphone not working when connected to laptop

To assist you better, do let us know if your speaker works fine when you unplug the headphone.

Sometimes this issue could occur when you don’t set your headphone/speaker to default.

Please follow the steps below to set your headphone as the default device for audio.

1. Right click on the speaker icon on the notification area (right bottom corner of your screen).

2. Click on “playback”

3. Check if the headphone is listed there, if so, right click
on it and choose enable.

4. Highlight the headphone and click on "Set as Default".

Once you are done with the steps, repeat step 1 and select volume mixer. Please make sure that all the volumes are turned up to the highest and check if it works.
