Windows 10: Sound problem with Conexant HD audio on Windows 10

First of all, I have to mention that I've read all the similar questions and answers and I found none that applies to my problem.


Now, let's go with the problem. Recently I've upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In Windows 7 I had an option to reconfigure 3,5mm jacks of my audio card, so input or mic can be surround and/or center/sub output and I was able to use it as stereo, quadrophonic or 5.1. After upgrading to Win10, I lost those options and only stereo is an option. Tried to install old Win7 drivers compatibility/test program... and it seems to installed correctly. But. When I try to change settings in Conexant SmartAudio Control Panel, it crashes and do nothing. Then I found latest SmartAudio drivers for Win10, it helped a lot with sound quality, but problem persisted. I am still limited to stereo, control panel now won't even open and I lost option for internal speaker playback. Also, in sound control panel now I can see only rear 3,5mm audio jack, no input, no mic and no front panel connectors. Tried to uninstall, reinstall, disable, enable, reenable and I don't now what else. So believe it or not, there are still people that CAN hear the difference and USE advanced options of sound card.


So please folks, provide a logical answer, solution or anything that will help theese problems and don't force those MS drivers as they ARE NOT as good as you think.

Windows 10 - No Sound with Conexant High Definition Smart Audio HD 2

I read and tried everything I could find, but after going to Microsoft it suggested uninstalling Conexant HD audio ,then reboot your computer and windows would try to reinstall it. After I tried this all was working fine. Go to start and type in device manager,
select sound ,video and game controller, then select Conexant HD Audio then select uninstall. then turn off computer and restart .When I did this it fixed the problem for me and hopefully for you. Hope this was some what helpfull

 

Conexant Smart Audio HD | Windows 10

Updated to Windows 10, July 30th. Everything works fine, till I noticed there is no sound. I check my computer and it says that I am connected to Conexant Smart Audio HD for my sound card. I run a test and then it give me an error saying that "Failed to
Play Test Tone". I have reinstalled the drivers and still no sound came out. I then proceeded to Device Manager in which I disabled my sound card (Conexant SmartAudio HD). I went under properties of the Sound Card, clicked on Update Driver, to which then asked
me to search automatically for updated driver software, or to browse my computer for driver software. I clicked on Browse my Computer, and changed my sound card to High Definition Audio Device. My Sound has started to work. Problem fixed? NO.

Windows 10 is said that drivers and applications would be compatible, but why are we getting these problems. I don't want to be using High Definition Audio Device when I have been using Conexant SmartAudio HD back in Windows 7. This problem needs to be fixed
immediately because it's frustrating to everyone who has this problem.

Doesn't matter what specs my PC are, this issue needs to be resolved ASAP.

I have installed new version of conexant hd audio driver and my dell vostro 5459 sound was distorted. I have uninstall many times, reboot, install previous version but it seems that conexant do not be removed like a virus! when I uninstall after reboot it
is on their place. I want a serious help. please
